DEATSVILLE, AL - J.F. Ingram State Technical College (ISTC) announces the appointment of Dr. Ramona Cox as its new Dean of Students. Dr. Cox brings over 20 years of experience in higher education administration and student services, with particular expertise in incarcerated education support.
"We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Cox to the ISTC family," said Annette Funderburk, President of ISTC. "Her proven track record in educational leadership and deep understanding of student success will be invaluable as we continue to fulfill our mission of transforming lives through education."
Previously serving as Associate Vice President of Student Services at Vance-Granville Community College in North Carolina, Dr. Cox held senior administrative positions at Rio Salado College and Miami Dade College. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
In her new role, Dr. Cox will oversee all student services, including the Special Education Services division, which serves individuals under 21 seeking high school completion.
"Dr. Cox's extensive experience in both academic and student affairs administration positions her perfectly to advance our mission of providing quality education services," said Funderburk.
Dr. Cox holds a Post-Master's Certificate in College Teaching and Adult Learning and previously served as temporary Executive Director for the DoD STARBASE Maxwell program in Montgomery, Alabama.
