After a COVID-induced delay of nearly two years, the Ingram State Technical College Foundation hosted its third annual fundraising event, “Lights, Camera, Auction!” Thursday evening, April 8, 2022. Over 200 guests gathered at the Wetumpka Civic Center where they were welcomed by Ingram president Annette Funderburk and foundation chair Cam Ward, director of the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles. “After such a lengthy hiatus, it was wonderful to reconnect with wonderful friends who are committed to our mission and our students,” said Funderburk.

Funderburk said the event was the foundation’s most successful to date. “Sponsors like River Bank and Trust and Four Star Freightliner make it possible for use to offer students a variety of benefits,” she explained. “In addition to providing tools and equipment for those preparing to enter the workforce, this event will underwrite our upcoming Oratorial and Visual Arts competition, support our Phi Theta Kappa and National Technical Honor Society chapters and provide students an opportunity to welcome friends and family at graduation ceremonies later this spring.” 

In addition to dinner and entertainment from Wesley Hill’s band Freeness, guests browsed and bid on a wide range of items in the silent auction. Many items offered in the auction were projects developed by Ingram students and represented skills learned in their career technical training programs.
