Rep. Mike Holmes Makes Donation to Help Fund Equipment Purchase at ISTC

On Thursday, September 3, 2020 Representative Mike Holmes (R-31) presented J. F. Ingram State Technical College president Annette Funderburk with a check for $2,000. Holmes said the award represents funds allocated to each legislator for public education purposes.

“We thank Rep. Holmes for his generous support of our students,” said Funderburk. “We will be using the award to help fund a troubleshooting simulator for our Industrial Systems Technology program.”

Funderburk said the program, which opened in 2018, prepares students for a variety of careers related to industrial maintenance. “We are continuing to expand the scope of training offered in this program,” she explained, “through the addition of resources like the troubleshooting simulator.”

Rep. Holmes has served on the ISTC Institutional Advisory Board since 2015.
