ISTC Receives Third Central Alabama Community Foundation Award

On August 4, 2020 the Central Alabama Community Foundation once again showed their support for ISTC graduates. “We are honored to receive grant funds for a third year,” said ISTC president Annette Funderburk. “Their support of our Education to Employment initiative truly makes a difference for our graduates.”

Funderburk said the $5,050 award will be used to provide industry certification testing for students in the Office Administration, HVAC and Logistics programs as well as tools and equipment for ISTC graduates preparing to enter the workforce.

“Over the past two years CACF grant funds have made it possible for The ISTC Foundation to provide assistance to 92 graduates,” said Funderburk. “Those funds did more than just supply the certification, tools and safety gear needed to start work, it gave each of those 92 individuals the boost in self confidence that comes from knowing someone cares about their success.”
