ISTC hosts Alabama Representative Terri Collins and Vice Chancellor David Walters

On Tuesday, J.F. Ingram State Technical College hosted Alabama Representative Terri Collins and Vice Chancellor David Walters for a tour of Main Campus in Deatsville and Tutwiler Instructional Service Center in Wetumpka. 

During the tour Representative Collins spoke with faculty and students on how the college is preparing students for the workforce. Each program highlighted success stories of former students who have successfully transitioned into society and are contributing back to their communities with in high-wage high-demand jobs.

“It is an honor to host Representative Terri Collins,” said ISTC President Annette Funderburk. “Today’s tour highlights what Alabama is doing to combat recidivism through quality education, soft skill development, and career readiness.”

J.F. Ingram State Technical College was established in 1965 to educate and train justice-involved individuals. Ingram State is Alabama’s sole career technical education provider, training an average of 1,000 students per semester.
