J. F. Ingram State Technical College (ISTC) to Host Council on Occupational Education Reaffirmation Visit Sept. 19-22

J. F. Ingram State Technical College (ISTC) will host representatives of the Council on Occupational Education September 19 through 22, 2022 as a part of the college’s accreditation reaffirmation. A member of the Alabama Community College System, ISTC has been accredited by COE for over 40 years.

In preparation for the visit, college faculty and staff have spent the past two years conducting a self-study. Dr. Julliana Probst, Associate Dean of Instruction, has served as chairperson for the self-study. “The primary purpose of the self-study is to examine the college’s qualifications for accreditation,” she explained. “The process also serves as a strategic planning vehicle for the improvement of all institutional services.”

Probst said the visiting team will combine the information from the self-study with an on-site evaluation and interviews with students, faculty, and college leaders.
