Foundation Board Members Contribute Discretionary Funds

Senator Cam Ward (District 14), chairman of The J. F. Ingram State Technical College Foundation board, recently joined fellow board member Representative Rod Scott (District 55) in contributing a portion of his legislative discretionary funds to the foundation.

Scott made a contribution at the June 2019 meeting, suggesting the board consider reaching out to members of both houses for support through discretionary funds. College placement statistics show that, upon release, Ingram graduates return to communities across the state.

Foundation liaison Dr. Brannon Lentz thanked Ward and Scott for their generosity, saying the funds would be used to provide services to students beyond the scope of those available through the College.

Senator Ward has been a member of the Foundation board since its inception in 2014, Representative Scott joined the board in 2016.
