J.F. Ingram State hosted a Job and Resource Fair at the Draper Instructional Service Center in Elmore last week. Dozens of Alabama vendors attended the event to assist graduates find adequate resources and job options while they approach release.
Over 200 graduates within one year of release or parole/probation were eligible to participate. The job fair equips graduates with tools and skills necessary for their reentry journey. During the event, attendees spoke with various vendors about resource information and work choices available when they are released.
During the event, the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Parole provided a 20-minute workshop on how to prepare for a consideration hearing and what to expect on parole or probation.
ISTC holds job and resource fairs routinely throughout the year at several locations across Alabama. The next job fair will be held at the ABPP Perry County PREP Center in Uniontown on September 25.
