On Tuesday, J.F. Ingram State Technical College celebrated 15 women who completed the Prison Entrepreneur Program (PrEP) from Montgomery Women\u2019s Facility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
PrEP is an eight-week academic program that provides students the foundational skills to start a small business. Students learn and understand a financial model that lays out the requirements needed to start and maintain a business. By the second week, students are introduced to the elements that are required to create a basic business plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To assist overcoming barriers justice-involved citizens face in the workforce, Ingram State initiated PrEP in 2021. PrEP provides another avenue into the workforce that can be more conducive compared to traditional employment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
