Career Techninal Programs

Ingram State Technical College provides career technical education to incarcerated adults at four locations across Alabama. Classrooms facilitate individual and group learning, and labs are designed and equipped to reflect current workplace standards.

Most ISTC instructors came to the classroom from industry, and have a clear understanding of what it takes to excel in today's job market. Occupational advisory committee's, comprised of representatives from business and industry, regularly work with instructors to review program content and provide input on upgrades to equipment and curriculum.

At ISTC, students can choose from 18 career fields. Programs include short-term stackable certificates, long (15- to 24-month) certificates and testing for industry certification. Programs include:
